Dr. Steve Rasmussen graduated from Life Chiropractic College in 1984 with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. He has an undergraduate degree in business administration and psychology from Miami Dade and Clayton State College.
Dr. Rasmussen strives to improve the quality of care given to his patients by completing extensive post-graduate studies. He became one of the first chiropractors in the state of Georgia to become board certified as a Chiropractic Orthopedist. A Chiropractic Orthopedist completes four years of advanced clinical training. The doctor utilizes all diagnostic tools such as x-rays, MRI, and laboratory procedures to reach a diagnosis.
Dr. Rasmussen is State Board Certified in Physiotherapy. This allows the doctor to use specialized equipment such as ultrasound, electrical muscle stim, and light therapy. Dr. Rasmussen completed 2 years of study and received certification in Rehabilitation from Los Angeles College. He encourages patients to participate in an active care program which includes customized exercise prescriptions.
Dr. Rasmussen has attended numerous nutrition programs with some of the leading healthcare practitioners in the field. He has studied with Dr. Jeffry Bland, Ph.D, Bernard Jensen D.C., Michael B. Wald, M.D., D.C., and Gary Null, Ph.D. Dr. Rasmussen offers many options concerning nutritional counseling.
Dr. Rasmussen has been on the radio and television. He has produced several guided imagery CD's and is currently in the process of authoring a lifestyle book.
Dr.Steve, as his patients fondly call him, uses a "whole person approach" when taking care of his patients. By combining the very best hands-on-technique, state of the art physiotherapy procedures, and providing the newest and best natural vitamins and mineral supplements on the market today. Dr. Steve is able to help you to accelerate and/or maintain your journey to good health. Dr. Steve has had the opportunity evaluate and treat over 14,000 patients.
Dr. Rasmussen is a member in good standing of the Georgia Chiropractic Association and the American Chiropractic Association. He is a Fellow in the Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists.
In 2000, Dave Gaucher, D.C., joined our staff. He is a Graduate of Life Chiropractic College and his chiropractic techniques include: Thompson, Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy, Cox, SOT, Activator Physiotherapy, Neuromuscular Re-education, Therapeutic Exercises, Nutritional Counseling.
Both Dr. Rasmussen and Dr. Gaucher enjoy speaking to groups about healthy living, stress reduction, nutrition, and job safety.
